The Treaty of Christiania has been written after negotiations between the two parties involved. Recognizing that Norway is held very dear by Denmark, Sweden and Denmark have agreed that in order for Norway to be returned to Denmark, Iceland and the Danish West Indies be ceded to Sweden. This treaty recognizes that it also prevents warfare between these two fellow Scandinavian countries and that the two countries shall be at peace for the time being.
